I am certain that most of you would not struggle to answer this question. Unfortunately, I would.

I have lived in 10 different countries over past 10 years – in some longer than in others. In most of them I had to start from nothing – no friends, no family, no knowledge of local customs and not even mentioning the language. However, gradually all those places started unveiling themselves, offering a helping hand – call it a kindness of stranger, call it new flatmates, call it another expat or just a dazzling place that takes a breath away. These little things day by day reoccurred and you slowly started recognising that new place, meeting the same group of people, discovering their lives, their ways and their values.
