Athens, Revisited



After having to call sick for a trip that I was very excited about (Bangkok-Hongkong) on the A380, I was given Home Standby, and then an Istanbul turnaround (only the longest turnaround that we have…), karma for calling sick I suppose! This all turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as I had a few days off in a row, meaning that I could go on a little trip to Athens to see my family there!

After less than an hour’s sleep (we went out the night before…) I went to the airport, checked in, boarded, fell asleep…and woke up in Athens! My “cousin” Efie picked me up from the airport, with two distant cousins of mine that I had never met before, but were very welcoming nonetheless.
