What can you do with anthropology?

The idea in this article is something unfamiliar to me and definitely not something I would have thought of. Matt Thompson makes a great point in his article about how the ALS Ice Bucket challenge is an example of structural inequality.

It is an example of structural inequality because it’s a very rare disease that is most prevalent in white males and as a result has gained a great deal of attention. People care about ALS because it affects people they know. It’s a disease that happens right here in the United States and affects white American men and that makes it an important topic for people.
